By placing an order with us, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following terms. These policies exist to protect our breeding program, our animals, and to ensure expectations are clear before purchase.
Order Fulfillment & Shipping Window
- Hatching eggs are shipped April through October, and all orders are fulfilled in the order they are received, unless a later ship date is specifically requested by the buyer.
- We generally reach out approximately one week prior to an expected ship window. In some cases, last-minute availability may occur due to changes in laying pace or order adjustments. When this happens, eggs may be offered sooner to the next order in line.
- We cannot predict exact ship dates. Factors such as weather, holidays, molting, broody birds, and natural fluctuations in laying are outside of our control and may cause delays.
Egg Color & Seasonal Variation
- Egg color varies throughout a hen’s laying cycle and across the season. Lighter eggs later in the year do not indicate poor genetics or future laying performance.
- When your birds begin laying, they often start dark and cycle through their full range of color over time. Purchasing eggs later in the season does not mean your birds are incapable of producing dark or vibrant eggs.
- Most website orders are completed by August. Late-season availability is often offered at a discount due to natural pigment depletion and is intended primarily for larger or full-time breeders looking to incorporate new blood into established lines.
Shipping, Delays & Damage
- Once a package leaves our care, shipping delays, handling issues, and damage are the responsibility of the carrier.
- We are not responsible for shipping-related damage or delays. Any issues must be addressed by the buyer directly with the shipping provider by filing a claim. Proper documentation and timely follow-up are required.
- Buyers are responsible for selecting the correct shipping option for hatching eggs at checkout. Orders with incorrect shipping may be delayed, invoiced for the difference, or canceled if unresolved.
Hatch Rates, Fertility & Risk Acknowledgment
- Hatching eggs are always a risk.
- We do not guarantee hatch rates. Once eggs leave our hands, there are too many variables outside our control, including shipping conditions, handling, incubation equipment, temperature stability, humidity, and user error.
- We do guarantee fertility, which is checked regularly throughout the season.
- By purchasing hatching eggs, you accept the inherent risks involved.
Chicks, Straight Run & Roosters
- Any chicks that are sold straight run only. We do not guarantee male-to-female ratios.
- If you purchase chicks, any resulting roosters are your responsibility. We do not accept birds back under any circumstances due to strict biosecurity protocols. Buyers are expected to plan ahead for this possibility.
Refunds, Replacements & Cancellations
- We do not offer refunds, replacements, or cancellations on hatching eggs or chicks.
- All sales are final.
- If, for any reason, we are unable to fulfill your order by the end of the shipping season, you will be offered:
1) First shipment priority the following season, or 2) The option to choose another available product
- If our flock is unexpectedly unable to continue and your order cannot be completed at all, a refund will be issued.
Final Acknowledgment
By placing an order, you confirm that you understand:
• Hatching eggs carry inherent risk
• Shipping delays and damage are outside our control
• Hatch rates are not guaranteed
• Egg color varies seasonally
• All sales are final
